Our Materials

Wood is a rapidly dwindling and finite natural resource.  We believe it is a privilege and a responsibility to be able to work with it.  In that light we feel an obligation to choose woods wisely with regard to their source and sustainability, to utilize materials carefully keeping waste to a minimum, and to build quality, durable furniture that will provide many years of pleasure and service to its owner.

We work with domestic hardwoods.  These include Maple, Cherry, Oak, Ash, and Walnut  These species are culled from our forests in a responsible manner under strict logging regulations.  We will work with other species on a case by case basis if we feel, with reasonable certainty, that the lumber was harvested legally and in a sustainable manner.
